Career and Technical Exploration
You can get started gaining valuable career skills right here at CHS! Career and Technical Education (CTE) offers high school students cutting-edge, relevant, rigorous classes that prepare them for post-secondary opportunities and high-wage, high-skill, high-demand jobs. A state-approved Career & Technical Education Program of Study is a series of courses/pathways that help students develop the technical skills, academic knowledge and real-world experiences needed to prepare them for the high-skill, high-demand, high-wage careers of the 21st century and make informed choices about their post-secondary options.
At CHS, we offer CTE programs of study in Mass Communications and Marketing, Woodworking and Construction Technology, Culinary Arts, and Digital Media. These classes are taught by industry experts and students who complete the program will graduate with real-world career skills that will propel them towards college and career success!

My Next Move is an interactive tool for job seekers and students to learn more about their career options. The site has tasks, skills, salary information, and more for over 900 different careers. Users can find careers through keyword search; by browsing industries that employ different types of workers; or through the O*NET Interest Profiler, a tool that offers personalized career suggestions based on a person's interests and level of work experience.

The Oregon Career Information System (CIS) provides a system of occupational and educational information to help Oregonians learn about the world of work and education. PCC Career Pathways
PCC Career Pathways is a nationally-recognized, innovative model for student success and workforce development. Career Pathways certificates are 12 to 44 credits, can be completed in less than a year, and prepare you for employment in high-growth, high-demand industries while also providing a stepping stone to an associate degree, bachelor degree, and beyond. Career Pathways give you lots of options, and can increase your college success and completion.
Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center (POIC)
Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center, Inc. is a non-profit education management organization established in 1968 in North Portland, serving over 700 students and work trainees annually across three programs: Rosemary Anderson High School, Rosemary Anderson Transitions, and Work Opportunities Training. At POIC, we reconnect alienated at-risk youth affected by poverty, family instability, and homelessness with high school education through Rosemary Anderson High School (RAHS), and with career training through POIC Work Opportunity Training programs (WOT).

To receive WorkSource Portland Metro services you must be at least 18 years old, eligible to work in the U.S., and currently enrolled in WorkSource Oregon.
